A Malate pub founded in 1977 by a retired US Navy pilot, once the foreign correspondents' bar of choice and now packed with medical students from nearby UP Manila and PGH. Owner Ben Razon, from a Pampanga restaurant family, keeps the San Miguel ice-cold and the kitchen Kapampangan: pork barbecue and sisig. Students go for the sweet house cocktails like the Weng Weng; the regulars stick to Pale Pilsen.
